This Taco Dip with Greek Yogurt take no time and is so delicious! This will be a perfect, quick, summer side for grill outs, gatherings or for “girl dinner”. Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, taco seasoning, shredded cheese, salsa. You can also add other toppings- but this is a good base!
Our Cheesy Hamburger Queso Dip is a great recipe for winter and football games, but this no bake taco dip is a homerun for all things summer!
Why you will love this taco dip
- no bake taco dip – perfect for a summer outing!
- takes 5 minutes, and you can make it right in the pan that you are going to serve it in! (less dishes = win)
- You likely have all these ingredients in your fridge or pantry – and it is a forgiving, versatile recipe
Ingredients in Greek Yogurt Taco Dip
- Greek Yogurt – or sour cream (full fat). I personally think the “lighter” brand make it more watery- but it still tastes good.
- Mayonnaise – I really prefer Hellman’s over any other brand. I am an “off brand” gal, but with mayonnaise, I have to have Hellmans.
- Taco Seasoning – I like our own blend of taco seasoning. Otherwise I prefer Tones Taco Seasoning. Or, make your own taco seasoning.
- Shredded Cheese – I used cheddar. A fiesta blend of cheese or Monterrey jack would work great too.
- Salsa – your favorite kind of salsa.
- OPTIONAL: try things like shredded lettuce, olives, diced tomatoes on top.
Substitutions and Variations
- Use sour cream instead of greek yogurt
- try different blends of mayonaise such as a light version
- Instead of taco seasoning, try fiesta ranch — this is a good dip too!
- Leave off toppings or add more of your favorites (lettuce, olives, diced tomatoes)
How to make Taco Dip with Greek Yogurt
- Mix the Greek Yogurt/Sour Cream, Mayonaise and Taco Seasoning together. Once mixed well, spread it evenly around the bottom of your serving pan. I used a 6×9 or 6×8 dish.
- Top with shredded cheddar cheese, then layer the salsa on.
- I sprinkle with a bit more cheese for garnish. Sprinkle with other toppings at this time (lettuce, diced tomatoes)
- Serve immediately with chips or veggies like carrot sticks, bell peppers.
How to serve this dip
Serve this dip with tortilla chips, slices of bell peppers or carrot sticks.
This Greek yogurt dip makes a great appetizer at family BBQs, summer events, even holidays. Or, just a weekend snack.
How to Store Greek Yogurt Taco Dip
It is best eaten within the first day, but you can cover and refrigerate for up to 3 days. Just know it may get “watery” after the first day (but it will still taste great!).
Taco Dip FAQs
Yes, you can replace the Greek Yogurt in equal amounts of sour cream.
That depends on what kind of taco seasoning you use! Choose a mild seasoning if you want it mild, or a spicy one.
No, this is a un-baked, cold dip!
Yes, up to 24 hour in advance. Just cover well and refrigerate until ready to serve. It may start to get “watery” after 1-2 days.
With tortilla chips! You can use veggies, too.
Yes, you could make seasoned ground beef, cool it, and layer it onto the dip for a heartier more protein packed dip.
I do not recommend freezing taco dip. The dairy and fresh toppings are not meant to be frozen.
