These whiskey peach crockpot meatballs are a tasty appetizer for your next gathering. Homestyle meatballs, peach preserves, bbq sauce, chili sauce, whiskey, minced garlic. These take very minimal prep time and can come together in 2 hours in a crockpot!
Ingredients in Crockpot Meatballs
Pre-cooked “homestyle” meatballs. I used a 24 oz size package, however this recipe is very forgiving. It has plenty of sauce so a larger bag would work alright. Each store appears to have slightly different sized bags of meatballs.
BBQ Sauce – I used sweet baby rays but any brand works fine.
Peach Preserves – I used Smuckers Peach Preserves. I don’t usually mind using off-brand, but do think that Smucker’s is worth the extra money in this case.
Chili Sauce – I used a general off-brand of chili sauce. I thought this would make it spicy, but it did not. There are many different kinds of chili sauces- so if you have one you like, use it!
Whiskey – the most important ingredient! Any brand should work fine (or Bourbon). I used a Black Velvet whiskey the first time I made the meatballs, then I tried a peach flavored whiskey and it did make it more peachy but either worked just great.

Variations to Whiskey Peach Meatballs
Spice it up! This recipe is made without spice, but if you like a little heat in your food – absolutely go for it! Try a spicy chili sauce, a spicy peach preserve or just add your own spice to the mix.
Skip the whiskey – if you really want to try this recipe but don’t use whiskey. It will still be great without the whiskey.
How to make crockpot meatballs
- In a small bowl combine the sauce ingredients (everything but the meatballs). Stir well and set aside.
- Next, open your bag of pre-cooked meatballs and add to the crockpot. For easy clean up, use a crockpot liner in your crockpot.
- Next, pour the sauce over the meatballs. Stir well so the meatballs are saucy. Cook on high for about 2 hours, stirring every 30-45 minutes. Done when starting to bubble.
Leftover Storage
These will last in an airtight container in the fridge for about 4 days. You could also freeze these in a freezer safe container for 3-6 months. Just warm in microwave.
What to eat with Crockpot Meatballs
These are a sweet tasting crockpot meatball and I normally use them as an appetizer for the holiday season. However, they would pair well with sides like cheesy potatoes, mashed potatoes, or even a simple rice. The sauce kind of reminds me of orange chicken in a way!
Our velveeta mac and cheese would be a good side with leftover meatballs!

A lighter side option to pair with meatballs is our Greek yogurt broccoli salad.
