These are a simple, perfect recipe for a lazy weekend!
I love heading to town on a weekend to pick up fresh made donuts, but had never tried making them myself. After a little research, I figured out a recipe, and these were a hit! I had always been intimidated by donuts but they were much easier than I thought!
Make sure to check the temperature of the oil
Live and learn, and I did with this recipe. The first batch I fried up were black within a minute, and gooey inside. I checked the temperature of my oil and it was well over 400 F, oops. The next batch was right at 350 F and cooked much more evenly. Towards the end, I tried to add more donuts in at one time and noticed that it took longer to make (the oil cooled down), but they were still great tasting!
Another weekend treat I enjoy making are these Vanilla Pudding Chocolate Chip Cookies!
