Freezer Friendly AND can be ready in 30 minutes. Sheet Pan Beef & Broccoli is made with beef stew meat or flank steak, broccoli florets seasoned with a sweetened sauce of soy sauce, honey, sesame oil & spices. So easy but so tasty!
Ingredients
Beef: this can be a simple economical cut such as stew meat. Other popular options are flank steak and sirloin steak. All cut thin & in bite sized pieces.
Broccoli: cut into bite-sized pieces. 3-4 cups of broccoli is great.
Soy Sauce: the recipe calls for the low sodium kind. I feel the regular soy sauce is too salty, however you could use either variety.
Honey: we used good quality, local, Highlandville Honey in this recipe. Don’t have honey on hand? Use brown sugar.
Sesame Oil: I use a toasted sesame oil, but really any kind will work.
Seasonings: minced garlic, ground ginger, pepper, sesame seeds and optional red pepper flakes.
Freezer Friendly + 30 Minute Meal
To prep & freeze for a busy evening just follow the instructions (also below): Add the beef & broccoli to a gallon sized freezer bag. Mix the sauce in a bowl & add to the freezer bag. Seal the bag well and mix sauce into the beef/broccoli with hands. To cook: thaw in fridge for 24 hours, then cook as indicated above.
Double & freeze a batch or prepare for a new mom! I will be making this to put in the freezer for postpartum.
Pair this with a side of rice
Rice would be the perfect side to this. Our easy instapot rice recipe is linked from our instagram page.
Make the gravy to top the rice: if you’d like to make a thickened sauce for topping the beef/broccoli or a side like rice- reserve 1/4 cup of the sauce mix. Add to a small pot on medium high heat. Also add 2tbsp flour/corn starch and 1/2 cup water. Stir and let simmer until thickened to gravy consistency. Add pepper or sweetener (honey/brown sugar) to taste.

Sheet Pan Beef & Broccoli
Ingredients
- 1 lb beef stew meat or flank steak, sirloin steak, sliced thin.
- 3-4 cups broccoli florets chopped to your size preference
- 1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
- 2 tbsp toaster sesame oil
- 2 tsp sesame seeds
- 1/4 cup honey or brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- red pepper flakes optional & to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 F. Line sheet pan with aluminum foil & spray with cooking spray.
- Slice your steak or stew meat thin, if isn’t already. Then add to the sheet pan- spreading it around.
- Next, chop up your broccoli. Add that to sheet pan.
- Mix the remaining ingredients in a small-medium sized bowl to form a sauce. Pour the sauce over the beef and broccoli mixture. Use a spatulas to toss around the beef & broccoli to be sure it is well covered in the sauce.
- Cook, uncovered, in oven for 12-20 minutes. This will really vary depending on how tender you like your broccoli. Check after 12 minutes and continue cooking in 3 minute increments until preferred tenderness.
