This Griddle French Toast is simple, delicious and only needs 5 ingredients! Bread, eggs, milk, vanilla and cinnamon to create a budget breakfast that everyone will love. Griddle french toast is freezer friendly, too!
6slicesbreadbrioche works great, but any kind works. The thickness of bread will make a difference on how many slices you will need to use up egg mixture!
Toppings of Choice (Optional)berries, whipped cream, syrup, etc.
Instructions
Preheat your electric griddle to 350 F. Or, heat a skillet on medium high heat.
Add the eggs, milk, vanilla and cinnamon to a small to medium sized bowl. Something large enough you can dip bread into. Whisk well.
Spray your griddle and then start cooking! Quickly dip the bread into the egg mixture, flipping quickly and making sure both sides are well-coated. If it sits too long, it can start to break apart in the mixture so work quickly!
Add to greased griddle and let cook on each side until golden to your liking. Usually takes about 2-4 minutes each side however watch it carefully because each griddle is different!
Enjoy with syrup, fruit, honey or just plain!
Notes
Notes: Bread- brioche bread or texas toast work great. Cinnamon bread is a delicious way to make it, too. I have used anything from fancy bread to plain white bread from the gas station. Freezer Notes: This can easily be frozen and warmed for a quick breakfast. Let the French toast cool, and then add to a gallon freezer bag. I like to put a piece of parchment or wax paper between each layer so they do not stick. Take one or all out from freezer and warm in microwave. Stays well in freezer up to 3 months. Nutrition information is an estimate and will depend greatly on brand of ingredients used.
