Make kid friendly dinner with this easy Dorito Taco Bake! Packed with cheesy layers, crunchy chips, and bold taco flavors, it’s a family favorite perfect for busy weeknights. Crescent rolls, creamy taco meant layer, Doritos and cheese!
Preheat oven to 350 F. Heat skillet on medium high heat and begin browning the ground beef. Drain then add the taco seasoning according to instructions (add water per instructions, too). Then add the 8 oz tub of sour cream to the ground beef mixture.
Set beef aside. Next, Spray a casserole dish with cooking spray and then pop open the can of crescent rolls. Roll the crescent rolls out onto the sprayed pan- using your hands to 'spread' the dough out so that it evenly covers the casserole dish bottom.
Crush the entire bag of Dorito's - you can put them in a gallon ziploc bag and crush or just crush them in the bag they are already in. Once done, evenly disperse about half the bag of Doritos on top of the crescent rolls.
The next layer is the taco/sour cream mixture. Add all of that to the casserole dish on top of the Doritos that were sprinkled on.
On top of the meat mixture comes the mozzarella - add 1-2 cups of shredded mozzarella (your choice- the cheesier the better in my opinion!)
Now, cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Then uncover and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
The last layer is the remaining Doritos. Add those to the top.
Once done- top with your favorite taco toppings: lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream etc.
