1 baking sheet large enough to fit 10-12 slices bread
1 spoon, knife to cut bread and spread sauce

Ingredients
1/2lbsground beef, brownedor Italian sausage
115-ozcan pizza sauce
2cupsshredded mozzarella cheese
1loafItalian breador any kind of bread, sliced to your thickness preference
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400 F. Slice bread into slices. I made 12, 1.5-2 inch thick slices.
Open the pizza sauce and spread 2 tbsp onto each slice. Then add 1-2 tbsp of the ground beef.Top with mozzarella cheese. Line baking sheet with foil (optional) for easy clean up, then grease and lay the slices on the pan.
Bake 10-15 minutes until golden brown and bread is toasted to your liking.
MEAL PREP TIP: Next time you are cooking up ground beef, cook a few lbs and package 1/2 to 1 lb increments in freezer bags for recipes such as this! That way, you don't have that extra prep step.SUBSTITUTIONS: There are so many substitutions for this recipe. Use garlic bread instead of Italian, or even just plain white bread or a tortilla for a little personal pizza. Add vegetables such as spinach, mushrooms, peppers..anything you like on your pizza would taste great on this recipe.Replace ground beef with Italian sausage, chicken, ground turkey.I think mozzarella cheese tastes best, but replace with any kind of cheese.Freezer Meal: flash freeze these prepared and NOT baked, then store in a freezer safe container- ready to go for a quick oven dinner or try the air fryer.
