Need a super quick, simple meal to feed your family like..ASAP? This is it. 4-Ingredient Pizza Bread in under 30 minutes. It is one of those recipes that makes you think, “this is soo simple, why didn’t I think of that?!”. Italian Bread, Pizza Sauce, Mozzarella Cheese and Ground Beef. That is it!

Pizza Bread Ingredients + Substitutions
1/2 lb ground beef, browned: This is the protein punch your family needs, plus B12 vitamins and other essential nutrients. I could go on about how beneficial beef is in your diet, but I will let Beef it’s what’s for Dinner do that! If you do not have ground beef on hand, try Italian sausage, shredded chicken (the canned stuff would even do the trick!) or ground turkey.
1-15 oz can of pizza sauce- this one is a necessity. Get your favorite kind of sauce to put on. I got the pre-seasoned kind, but if you use plain tomato sauce, be sure to add your own Italian seasoning and more. Here is a simple homemade pizza sauce recipe.
Italian Bread- I was given a loaf of Italian Bread and cut it in 1.5-2 inch thick slices. Eliminate a step and get the pre-cut kind. Regular white bread or any bread that you have on hand will do the trick. This would taste great with the frozen garlic bread you can buy in the store, too!
CHEESE, 2 cups (or measure with your heart)- You cannot forget the cheese! Mozzarella is an obvious favorite on pizza, but use an Italian Blend of cheese, add some parm, or if you are in a pinch try cheddar or colby jack..I have used them and it works for me.
EXTRAS- Add veggies such as mushrooms, peppers, spinach..anything that you would normally add to your pizza will work on this recipe.
SIDES- Eat this paired with a simple salad, a side of fruit and a tall glass of cold milk. The perfect combo!
Variations to easy pizza bread
Next time, I want to try this recipe using a jar of alfredo sauce in place of the pizza sauce. Top with shredded chicken, mushrooms, spinach and of course cheese..sounds delicious! I found a recipe similar to what I want to create, Chicken Alfredo Garlic Bread Pizzas.
Leftover storage and preparation
Pizza bread will keep in an airtight container in fridge for up to 4 days. It may get a little soggy as a leftover- I recommend warming in an air fryer to help with being soggy. I love reheating pizza in the air fryer!
I do not recommend freezing this pizza bread.

4-Ingredient Pizza Bread ready in under 30 minutes
Equipment
- 1 baking sheet large enough to fit 10-12 slices bread
- 1 spoon, knife to cut bread and spread sauce
- measuring utensils
- cutting board to cut bread if needed
Ingredients
- 1/2 lbs ground beef, browned or Italian sausage
- 1 15-oz can pizza sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 loaf Italian bread or any kind of bread, sliced to your thickness preference
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 F. Slice bread into slices. I made 12, 1.5-2 inch thick slices.
- Open the pizza sauce and spread 2 tbsp onto each slice. Then add 1-2 tbsp of the ground beef.Top with mozzarella cheese. Line baking sheet with foil (optional) for easy clean up, then grease and lay the slices on the pan.
- Bake 10-15 minutes until golden brown and bread is toasted to your liking.
