Recipes from French Creek is my little corner of the internet. Sharing recipes, meal planning, farm life, family hacks & last but not least freezer meals. The freezer meals are currently only for local customers in Allamakee & Winneshiek County.

I focus on easy, home-style family recipes, plus a few healthier options as well. I am excited to share them with you whether that be by recipe, or delivery to your door.

Freezer Meals

When I was on maternity leave with my first baby, Hank, I was so tired and never had time to make a good meal. I learned before I had my second baby, Hope, to definitely get a stash of meals prepared for postpartum! I also learned after my experience to share a meal with a new mom, or heck, even a mom with older kids..we all need it! This is where my freezer meal business sparked from.

This idea may have come from preparing for a baby, but these meals are perfect for all seasons of life- smaller sized microwaveable for elderly or sick, working individuals, busy families, those who hate cooking. They are perfect for anyone!

Real, home-style easy recipes for families

I am a big fan of eating REAL food.I try to create healthy(ish) meals and like to include flexibility and substitutions in my recipes. BUT you won’t find me counting calories or macros, either.
We started creating & selling freezer meals February of 2023, and now deliver hundreds of meals each month to families throughout Northeast Iowa.

In my free time, I enjoy hiking, hunting, gardening, working out, canning and spending time with my family. We are fortunate to live just down the road from many close family.

The Name

I get asked by many, how I came up with my name, Recipes from French Creek? Our farm is nestled in between the bluffs in the Driftless Region, with one of the most beautiful trout streams, French Creek, flowing right through it. This little creek is in the heart of our farm, and is apart of many found memories of my childhood. It just made sense.
